Bill Synopsis: The Fashion Environmental Accountability Act of 2025 establishes a framework for the oversight of harmful chemicals in clothing, through the authortiy of the DTSC, by mandating fashion sellers to ensure their products are free of specific regulated harmful chemicals, including azo-amines, phthalates, flame retardants, formaldehyde, and lead, and implement measures that cease, prevent, or mitigate risks to protect both consumer health and the environment.
